The SLO Food Bank

GleanSLO is a program of the SLO Food Bank. The Mission of the SLO Food Bank is to work with a network of community partners to alleviate hunger in San Luis Obispo County and build a healthier community.

Put out by the National Resources Defense Council, the Save the Food campaign is a comprehensive resource for minimizing your food waste by providing guidance on storange, cooking, planning, and interactive educational tools to measure the cost of food waste.

The national gleaning project is a project of the Center for Agriculture and Food Systems at Vermont Law School, which supports scholars, practitioners, and students in producing innovative research and legal tools for use by the food and agriculture community.

GleanSLO is a partner of OutsideinSLO because we believe what we choose to eat matters to our health and our climate. OutsideInSLO is the first public health campaign linking climate change and health impacts in California. The goal of OutsideInSLO is to educate the community on the connections between climate change and health while empowering the community to make healthy choices which have multiple benefits.
